We warmly welcome you and thank you for joining us. Let's begin with a brief introduction and get to know each other. To promote relaxation and foster connections, we will start with an icebreaker activity. For the next 45 minutes, we will combine a meditation warm-up with gentle and intentional movements. Focusing on our breath, body, and mindfulness, we will guide you through a soothing journey. To refuel our bodies and continue our creative flow, we will provide healthy snacks and refreshments. During this time, feel free to express your thoughts or feelings from the previous session on a shared board or verbally. Next, we will introduce experienced dancers to guide us through a choreographic process. By reviewing our journal entries and translating our emotions into movement, we will work individually or in small groups to create our own choreography. After this invigorating session, we will take an hour-long lunch break to recharge and relax before our next session. We will then move into group sharing through a round of performances from participants or small groups and end with final observations and closing remarks.
The objective of this movement restshop is to provide participants with a holistic experience that combines physical activity with mental well-being. By integrating a meditation warm-up and mindfulness journaling practice, the workshop aims to promote a sense of balance, self-awareness, and overall wellness.
